In 2008 our peak season is from June 20 to Aug 22. Shoulder weeks are June 6 to June 20 and Aug 22 to Aug 29. As of February 14, Narnia is booked from June 13 through September 12. The week starting June 6 is still available. September is a great time for peace, quiet and warm water. We rent only by the week, Friday to Friday, from June 6 to September 5. The remainder of the year there is a two day minimum stay required. The spring, fall seasons provide opportunities to view colors, hunt, and golf. Availability during these seasons typically requires just a couple weeks notice.
Our home is a fully furnished 4 bedroom, 3 bath, private lakefront home with 95 feet of private pure sand beach on the south shore of Big Glen Lake, built in 1969. The house is located about 500 feet off the road. The home includes a fully supplied kitchen, living room/dining room combination, family room, and a laundry room with washer and dryer for limited use. Summer rental includes use of a shore station at the end of our 72 foot dock. Rental also includes use of one stall in our 3 car, detached garage.
The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, stove, toaster, microwave, and oven as well as dishes, glassed, cups, tableware and pots and pans. Local telephone service with an answering machine is included. There are two TVs, one VCR, one VCR/DVD combo and a full house stereo system. Bedroom #1 has a king size bed, full private bath plus lake access and view. Bedroom #2 has two twin beds with a lake view. Bedroom #3 has a double bed. Bedroom #4 has a king-size bed, two twin beds in a loft, plus a full private bath (bathroom #3). (Bedroom #4 and Bathroom #3 are only available for rental groups of more than 6 people.) There is a sofa bed in the family room.
Renters supply their own sheets, pillow cases and towels; blankets and bedspreads are provided. Renters also supply their own food, drink, condiments, dish soap and toiletries. No housekeeping is supplied other than normal cleaning at end of rental.
Our rental agreement requires a deposit of one half the total rental at the time of reservation. The balance, plus tax and a $100 damage deposit, is due 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. A key will be mailed upon receipt of payment 2 weeks prior to arrival. Deposit will be returned by mail following rental after confirmation by cleaning staff that no damage or loss has occurred. In event of cancellation, any payments made will only be refunded if we (or you) are able to find an alternative renter. Summer rentals are from Friday to Friday. Check in time is after 3 PM. Check out time is 9 AM.We have a no smoking, no pet policy. Occupancy is strictly limited to 10 people, including children and infants.
